When will I get an invitation?
We have not set individual dates yet. We will email you when invitations begin.
What happens after I sign up?
Your email joins the invitation list. We use it only to let you know when your invitation is ready.
Can I leave the list?
Yes. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, email hello@sppeak.ai.
What is Sppeak?
Video calls with real-time voice translation. Each person speaks in their own language and hears the other already translated, with voice and captions.
How does live translation work?
Each person picks their language when joining the call. When someone speaks, you hear their voice already translated into the language you chose. The original voice stays in the background, very low, and you can adjust both volumes. Captions show the translation and, if you want, what was said in the original language.
Which languages are available?
Thirteen: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian and Vietnamese.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Sppeak works right in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
Does the person I invite need an account?
No. Your guest joins with just the link, picks a name and a language, and is in.
Can I change my language during the call?
Yes. Pick another language in the call settings, and the translation follows your new choice.
What do I need for a good experience?
An up-to-date browser, a stable connection and, ideally, headphones: they keep the translated voice from going back into your microphone.
Can I share my screen and send files?
Yes. During the call you can present your screen and use the chat to send messages, images, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, audio and video.
What if translation becomes unavailable?
The call stays connected. Sppeak shows what happened so you can keep talking.
What if my connection drops?
Sppeak tries to reconnect on its own and shows the progress on screen. If it takes too long, you get the option to try again.
Is the call recorded?
No. Calls have no audio or video recording.
Is the conversation protected?
Yes. The call travels encrypted. To translate, the audio goes through an artificial intelligence translation service, used only to produce the translation.
Are chat messages and files saved?
No. The chat history stays only in your browser, protected, and files shared during the call are not stored by Sppeak.
